768V&960V Marine Battery System
Basic Information
The design of the company’s marine battery system takes into comprehensive consideration factors such as cabin door size limitations, interior cabin height, and deck load-bearing capacity. Two mutually compatible battery pack products have been developed: a 4-column, 3-cluster 768V system and a 5-column, 3-cluster 960V system, which can be flexibly applied to ships with different voltage levels. Each battery rack has identical structural dimensions, allowing for flexible and rapid assembly within the cabin, and utilizes the same battery cluster control box (BCCB) for integration. An air hood and small fan are installed at the rear of the battery rack, creating a negative pressure environment within the hood to remove heat from the surface of the battery pack enclosure through forced convection, thereby regulating the temperature of the battery cluster. Depending on the vessel’s capacity requirements, multiple battery systems can be installed within the cabin.
According to the different needs of users, ships with 6000 tons or more use 2 or 4 sets, and the power is 1808 or 3616kW·h. According to the speed of 8 knots, the range is about 66 or 130km (not including auxiliary power) or the docking power time for more than 24 hours.
The battery system is a lithium battery storage device installed in the cabin, and its functions are as follows:
- Provide all electrical power supply for the ship when it is moored in the port: such as air conditioning, lighting, water pumps and other instruments and equipment and domestic electricity.
- The system is designed with Hybrid hybrid power function, providing an 8 knots pure electric speed when the vessel enters or leaves the port, significantly reducing fuel consumption, noise, and emissions, while improving the working environment for crew members. According to data quantification analysis, when applied to vessels with a displacement of 5,000 to 10,000 tons for shorter voyages, the overall fuel savings can reach over 15%.
- Under the condition of being charged by an external power source(For example, our company’s 3.18MWh energy storage charging station), the comprehensive fuel-saving rate of ships can reach more than 30%.

Certification
China Classification Society (CCS) and Bureau Veritas (BV)

The battery packs use 1P30S configuration and carry 314Ah cells. The power of a single cluster is 241kW·h, and the power of a group of 3 clusters is 723kW·h. According to the different needs of users, ships with 5000 tons or less use 2 or 4 sets, and the power is 1446 or 2892kW·h. According to the speed of 8 knots, the range is about 66 or 130km (not including auxiliary electricity) or the docking power time for more than 24 hours.
- 960V battery system (usually used in ships of 6000 tons and above, including offshore cargo ships). The design is 5 columns and 3 clusters as a group, each cluster consists of 10 battery packs in series, the nominal voltage is 960 V (voltage working range is 840V~1060V). The battery pack adopts 1P30S configuration, equipped with 314Ah cells. The power of a single cluster is 301.44 kW·h, and the power of a group of 3 clusters is 904kW·h.
